The parlor
 |
A stay in The Parsonage Guest House evokes inviting and happy memories
of simpler days, back when friends visited on front porches, neighbors
knew each other, roosters announced the breaking of dawn, and kids felt
safe to walk around town.
Dining area
 |
This retreat from the big city is located right next door to the world
famous Buffalo Gap Historic Village, and is within minutes of excellent
dining, world class art, and interesting shopping.
The kitchen
 |
Nestled among the big live oaks of the Callahan Divide, the Parsonage is
also convenient for birding, hiking at the nearby Abilene State Park, or
cycling in one of the more popular bicycle destinations in the state. The hills and vistas in this part of the world, not to mention the sunsets
and night skies, are alone worth the trip.
This cozy three-bedroom, two-bath home dates from the 1920s and is tastefully
appointed with antiques, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, cable television,
and comfortable beds for six.
Rates are $150 per night for 1 to 2 people; additional people are $18 extra
per person per night up to the maximum house occupancy of six. A deposit
of $150.00 is required in advance to make a reservation, with a 48-hour
cancellation notice required for a refund of the deposit.
The fine print: No smoking or pets are allowed, and the above rental figures do not include
applicable taxes. |
